“The Windsor Spitfires are ecstatic to host the 2009 OHL All-Star Classic in February and through all of the details announced today, people in Windsor, Essex County and hockey fans alike should be excited and ready for us to host a first-class event. With all of the fan-friendly activities introduced, it is our goal to make this a truly special experience remembered by many for years to come,” commented Windsor Spitfires President and Head Coach Bob Boughner.
“This is an exciting time in the evolution of the Windsor Spitfires franchise. We are most pleased to see our game come to Windsor and this is a small way for the OHL to acknowledge its support and appreciation of the City of Windsor, the Windsor Spitfires and their fans,“ said David Branch, Commissioner of the Ontario Hockey League.
